"While many of our members went to Chapel Hill to support Manteo High School in their quest for State Championship, the few that participated in the Christmas parade had a great time! The Jonkonnu group didn't get a chance to perform due to a misunderstanding, however, our men from Pea Island, as always, were greatly appreciated by the crowd.

After marching for about a mile and a half, then discovering they had to walk back to the high school to get their cars, the men decided then and there that next year's entrance would most definitely be a float! Watch for our Jonkonnu performers and the men of Pea Island in many events throughout next year!"
